Nosework competitions – compete with dog schools!
We offer both official and unofficial competitions in Nosework.
What is Nosework?

Nosework and its competitions are a popular and stimulating dog sport where dogs use their amazing sense of smell to search for specific scents. The sport is based
on dogs’ natural ability to sniffout hidden scent sources and is suitable for all dogs, regardless of age, breed or experience. Read about upcoming Nosework competitions here.
Stimulation and cooperation
Nosework provides dogs with both mental stimulation and physical activity, while strengthening the cooperation between dog and owner.
What scents are used in Nosework?
Nosework uses three different hydrolate scents: eucalyptus, bay leaf and lavender. These scents are hidden in different places for the dog to find and mark.
The competition is divided into four different stages: indoor search, outdoor search, container search and vehicle search. Each search area offers unique challenges where the dog must use its sense of smell to the fullest to navigate and find the scent.
Can all dogs train or compete in Nosework?
Nosework är en aktivitet som är enkel att anpassa efter din hunds förmåga och kan praktiseras både som en rolig fritidsaktivitet eller på tävlingsnivå.
Nosework competitions – first we train!
Would you like to learn more about Nosework and train with your dog? We offer courses for all levels! Click here to view the courses.
Nosework Level 1:
In Nosework Level 1, you and your dog will learn the basics of Nosework. We focus on introducing the scent of eucalyptus, which is the first scent used in competition. During the course, we go through the four different competition elements: indoor search, outdoor search, container search and vehicle search.
Great importance is placed on making the search enjoyable, and rewards are a central part of the training. The aim of the course is to give you and your dog sufficient knowledge to be able to continue training and pass a scent test, which is a prerequisite for competing in Nosework. The course also includes a starter kit for Nosework.
Nosework Step 2:
In Nosework Step 2, we build on the knowledge gained in Step 1 and strengthen your dog’s motivation to find the eucalyptus scent. We work on deepening the cooperation between you and your dog and give you more tools for training.
The focus is also on endurance, body control and strengthening your dog’s ability to cope with different environments. During the course, we go through the rules for Nosework and give you a solid foundation for competing.
A fun activity for all dogs
