The philosophy of dog training schools

Dog training schools are affiliated with SHF-Sveriges hundföretagare, the trade association for dog trainers and dog psychologists in Sweden, formerly IMMI.

Hundskolorna is a comprehensive knowledge centre for dog training. We operate from a newly built, modern dog facility in Skövde, which houses training halls, a dog daycare centre and a dog shop. All our instructors have extensive experience with dogs and solid training. Most of them also have training in dog psychology.

We offer modern, individually tailored training in small groups. The basis of our courses, whether it is training for everyday life or for competition in a dog sport, is based on joy, contact and cooperation. We place a high priority on ensuring that you have fun with your dog.

At Hundskolorna, we have taken this to heart and tried to adapt our courses and activities so that as many people as possible can develop their relationship with their dog. Welcome to take part in what Hundskolorna has to offer – both in terms of attending lectures and courses, but also if you want to start working with dogs as a profession!

Methodology:

In the dog world, perspectives and developments have also taken great strides forward over the past decade, with new approaches, ways of thinking and a greater understanding of dogs’ signals.
There is now also good research into dog behaviour, which has led to new ways of training dogs.

This is something we have taken on board during our studies, and together with our own and other people’s dogs, we have now found a positive way to train dogs and dog owners.

At Hundskolan, we take into account the natural behaviour of dogs and focus on the relationship between owner and dog, where the needs of both must be met! We believe in individual training with tips and advice tailored to me and my dog.

Our training is based on modern methods and positive reinforcement! This leads to a deeper and better connection and relationship with your dog. You will have a dog that obeys happily and without threats from you!

We have also developed our own training model, which we call Hundskolorna’s 1-2-3. A simple and effective training card!
