Positiva Hundens Dog Day Care

Welcome to our dog day care in Skövde. Here you will find prices, information about the services we offer and other details. We are located at Norregårdsvägen 35 in the eastern part of Skövde, near national road 49. From mid-September, we will be moving back to Bäckaskogsvägen 4, Aspelund, Skövde. (Previously located at Bäckaskogsvägen 1).

Prices

We primarily accept dogs that stay with us 4-5 days a week. These customers are our full-time customers, and we believe that continuity is best for the dogs. Your dog can come regardless of whether it is in heat, has special needs due to temporary injury or illness, as long as it is not contagious and as long as it is the best option for the dog. As a full-time customer, your dog can come regardless of whether you are working, ill or on holiday.

If you have a dog that requires extra resources in the form of separate walks, has a reactive behaviour towards other dogs or requires other more resource-intensive time, we charge an additional fee of 500 SEK/month. We will discuss this at the customer meeting and we will decide whether your dog has this need or not after the settling-in period.

4-5 days a week – £380/month

2-3 days a week – £295/month

Add-on – extra activity

If you want that little bit extra for you and your dog, we offer you the opportunity to book add-ons in the form of everyday obedience training or extra activity with an instructor/dog psychologist for £50 per month. You can also choose to have us clip your dog’s claws for a standing subscription of £15 per month. You can have this as a standing subscription or book it when you have less time to do it yourself. Booked and paid for in advance.

Puppies

We are happy to accept puppies but have certain requirements for the dog to attend daycare. The puppy must be house-trained before it starts, the puppy must be able to pee outdoors anywhere and not just in the same spot in the garden, the puppy must be able to be alone (at least 1 hour) as we have to leave the puppy alone in the crate when we walk the other dogs. The puppy must also have had its 12-week vaccination. We charge an extra fee for puppies as long as we consider them to be extra resource-intensive.

Who is our customer?

All dogs are welcome at Positiva Hundens dog daycare as long as the dog is happy and feels good with us and the other dogs feel good about it. We decide whether your dog is suitable for us or not. We do not have a strict queue system; instead, we choose who we take in. There may be several reasons for this, such as the size of the dog, whether it can be in a pack or requires its own kennel, whether we think it will work in a group where there is space, breed-related factors, etc.

Opening hours

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You can drop off your dog between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and pick it up between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Your dog can stay with us for a maximum of 9 hours per day. If you have any special requests, we can discuss them.

We are closed on public holidays and for three weeks in the summer, usually weeks 28–30, so please plan your holiday around this if possible, or make other arrangements for your dog.

Settling in

All dogs start in our settling-in department, which is located directly adjacent to the staff office and common area. Here we have the opportunity to get to know your dog to give it a good and safe start to its daycare life. Here it gets to know us and becomes comfortable with our daily routines. How long the dog stays here depends on how well it adapts to the environment, routines and other dogs. It can be anything from 2-4 weeks. From here, they are then moved to a permanent place in their own box or with other dogs. Dogs that still need to be close to us are given a permanent place in this department.

Own or shared kennel

Positiva Hundens Dog Day Care consists of two departments that can be closed off to create peace and quiet during the day’s rest periods. After the settling-in period, your dog will be placed in one of the departments in its own kennel or in a kennel with one or two other doggy friends, depending on how we think your dog will feel most comfortable spending the day with us. We invest a lot of time and knowledge in this part of your dog’s settling-in period to ensure that you and your dog’s friends have the best possible stay. In the multi-dog kennels, all dogs should feel safe with their companion(s), be able to rest safely together on a sofa or find their own place in a bed or on the floor. The interior of the kennels will vary to match the needs of the dog(s).

Outdoor areas

At Bäckaskogsvägen 4, we have grass around the property that is perfect for exercise, breaks and play areas.
