Nosework \u2013 train your dog to compete in scent<\/h1>\n

Nosework \u2013 sometimes called nose work \u2013 is a growing dog sport that is fun and exciting for all dogs. In our nosework courses, dogs learn to use their greatest strength \u2013 their sense of smell. We have several different courses and offers to choose from, including weekend courses. How does nose work<\/h2>\n

The dogs are allowed to search for different scents in varying environments. The level of difficulty depends on the dog’s progress. A dog that is good at nose work can find the source of the scents even among several other smells, such as items in containers or at different heights. In addition to being stimulating and physically challenging for the dog and handler, it is also good training. As a dog owner, you can benefit from this in practical ways, for example by teaching your dog to find chanterelles.<\/p>\n

Getting started with nosework training<\/h2>\n

The sport is suitable for everyone, both those who want to keep their dog active and those who want to compete with it. With us, you can learn more about your dog’s sense of smell and lay a good foundation for getting a dog that loves to search, is persistent and has a strong sense of smell. Those who want to compete need to take a scent test, but you are just as welcome if you just want to learn how it works for you and your dog. We have trained nosework instructors, courses at different levels and organise scent tests and competitions. Please contact us if you would like to know more.<\/p>\n
